Who Was Prophet Muhammad ﷺ?
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born in the noble tribe of Quraysh, in the city of Makkah, in the year 570 CE, known as the Year of the Elephant (Aam al-Feel). His full name was Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Abdul Muttalib, and he came from the Banu Hashim clan — one of the most respected lineages in Arabia.
He was known by titles such as As-Sadiq (The Truthful) and Al-Ameen (The Trustworthy), even before he was given prophethood. At the age of 40, he received the first revelation from Allah through Angel Jibreel (Gabriel) while meditating in the Cave of Hira.
He passed away at the age of 63 in Madinah in the year 632 CE. He left behind a perfect example of personal, social, spiritual, and political excellence.
